The Balloon Federation of America is a 501c3 non-profit group for the advancement of lighter-than-air aviation which includes hot air and gas balloons.
Within the BFA we have been working with project owner Al Nels and program manager Randy Wells. We have also been getting technical support from volunteer Fred Dinkler.
Overview of our Project:
Our project is going to be a mobile app for Android and iOS. By the end of the semester, we plan to have the app available on the Google Play Store as well as the App Store. The motivation for the project was that our group was interested in learning more about the world of mobile app development. An opportunity to make an app around something exciting like balloon piloting sounded perfect, so we decided to go for it. Our app will be used by hot air balloon pilots all over the world, and will allow for safer and more accurate flight patterns.
